Costs of CASE
Implementing a CASE Course
Programs that wish to adopt CASE courses will need to budget for the following costs associated with implementation. Please note that these costs are only estimates and a closer examination of local needs is necessary to determine exact costs to a school. In most cases, schools can reduce the costs for equipment and supplies greatly by matching up their current inventory with the Equipment and Supplies Worksheet for each course.
Please read the CASE Learning Environment to see the expectations for every CASE course. Download the Equipment and Supplies Worksheet for the course you are interested in to begin an inventory of materials currently on hand and those needed.

* CASE curriculum is free to all teachers who attend a CASE Institute for the desired course.
† This estimate does not include facilities including general classroom furnishings. See CASE Learning Environment document for details.
** This estimate includes everything on the purchase manual. Schools are encouraged not to use this number at face value rather refer to the purchase manual for an itemized listing and determine the actual cost of equipment and supplies needed per school. Many items are likely available already in typical agriculture and/or science classrooms.
‡ This cost is waived for programs and states who contribute to course development for 2010 (field test year).
