CASE End of Course Assessments
Currently CASE offers end of course assessments for the following CASE courses:
- Principles of Agricultural Science – Animal
- Principles of Agricultural Science – Plant
Each assessment tests student knowledge and understanding related to concepts specific to individual CASE courses. The assessments measure student proficiencies related to AFNR, science, and mathematics standards as prescribed in CASE lessons.
CASE assessments are offered as a proctored exam through LearnMate® a password protected web-based platform administered by intelitek, Inc. Exams feature multiple choice, drag and drop, and hot spot questions intended to measure student understanding rather than rote memorization of CASE concepts. Each test is designed for a 45-minute testing period. Features are added to the testing system in order to ensure that validity and student scores cannot be compromised during the testing period.
The cost per student for each exam is $18 for CASE schools.
To administer CASE end of course assessments to students the following steps and criteria must be followed:
- Obtain necessary purchase order and related documents for your district’s accounting department
- Identify an assessment proctor and gather contact information
- Complete the online order form
Upon receiving your student access codes, the proctor will have until June 30 of the current year to administer all assessments. Access codes usually available within three business days after submitting purchasing information.
NOTE: Please plan for 10 business days between placement of order and receipt of assessment codes.
All purchase orders and billing questions must be addressed to:

“Who can be a Proctor? Why do I need a Proctor?”
Proctors ensure the assessment is taken in a secure and fair environment. Each school is required to have the name and contact information of a proctor when ordering. The proctor position is a volunteer role that can be anyone in the school aside from the teacher of the class taking the assessment. Examples include other teachers, guidance counselors, or school staff. They will receive separate instructions for administering the assessment.
