Marlene has been working on the CASE project since 2008. She is currently the Curriculum Director of CASE, a position that oversees the development, revision, and publication of CASE courses. Marlene has written or coauthored the Introduction to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, Principles of Agricultural Science – Animal, Natural Resources and Ecology, and Animal and Plant Biotechnology courses.
Before joining CASE, Marlene taught high school agriculture and biology at Dallas High School in Dallas, Oregon for five years. Prior to that, she taught at Crater High School in Central Point, Oregon. She was a National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador. Marlene served as the Oregon Vocational Agriculture Teachers’ Association Secretary/Treasurer and was named the OVATA Outstanding Young Teacher in 2006. Marlene was raised on an alfalfa hay farm in Oregon.
