Founded in 1900, the Equipment Dealers Association (EDA) is the largest trade association representing equipment dealers in North America. EDA represents 4,500 retail dealerships that are directly focused on the sale and service of agricultural, construction, industrial, forestry, outdoor power, lawn and garden, and/or turf equipment.
EDA is the unified voice representing the interests and needs of equipment dealers with manufacturers and government officials to promote and enhanced dealer-manufacturer relationship and to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment. Working on behalf of their members, their efforts enable meaningful, productive collaborations that promote the ongoing success and growth of their industry.
EDA has engaged its charitable arm, the Equipment Dealers Foundation (EDF), to spearhead its workforce development initiatives. EDF currently provides funding for scholarships to meet the industry’s need for skilled employees so this partnership was a natural fit.
With the goal of supporting workforce development and sparking student interest in the equipment manufacturing industry, EDA, in partnership with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and the Farm Equipment Manufactures Association (FEMA), generously sponsored 2019 Agricultural Power and Technology (APT) and Mechanical Systems in Agriculture (MSA) CASE Institute scholarships for agriculture teachers.
